Spuds on Wheels
Apr. 19th, 2012 06:19 pmWith apologies to def_fr0g_42, I live at the intersection of two of the nation's major roadways, so i see alot.
Sometimes, I see Giant Potatoes.

I saw it parked at a hotel near my house. Even potato peddlers have to sleep.
Food-themed vehicles does seem to be an open field, so i am okay with naming this the second greatest of the genre (The Oscar Meier Weinermobile, which I also saw on I-80 is easily #1.
Some facts about the Idaho Potato Truck:
-It's 6 tons
- or about 32,000 potatoes
- or 30,325 servings of mashed potatoes
- or 1.5 million french fries.
While sharing the sight I saw, I was asked the purpose of the truck. "Who needs to be reminded about potatoes?"
Fair enough, but the truck does good charity work like donating to Meals on Wheels.
