There are a few diehard Joss Whedon fans here, so this may be old news.

This is worthwhile though.

Of course, not even Joss can compete with a four-year old. That is why this child has hit the YouTubes as the most talked about young 'un on the internet since David After Dentist.

If you have made it this long without seeing it, then watch this four year old who's tired of Bronco Bama and Mitt Romney.

The hippest restaurant in the area has to be Zombie Burger - a zombie themed burger joint.

Let's start off with something unexpected- Zombie Burger is helmed bu one of the best chefs in the city.  It would likely be successful no matter what, but it's damned good food.

The menu is hamburger-centric (natch) but ambitious.  Whereas Red Robin and Fudruckers will put a fried egg on their burgers, at Zombie Burger, that particular style is the most Conservative on the list.

The highlight of the menu is a burger which is put on a 'bun' which consists of fried (and breaded) macaroni.

Of course, the sandwiches all have names like "George Romero's Pittsburger" and "Dead Moines".

Nothing else was needed, but ZB does have a top notch selection of shakes.  Some are cake flavored (Red Velvet cake, Wedding Cake), some are cereal-based (Crunchberries, Rice Krispie), and all are interesting (Peanut Butter-Banana, Chocolate-Nutella-Marshmellow) .

The shakes (called brain Freeze get-it) have the added bonus of being spiked (get it) which indeed means made with alcohol.

Yes, these are some of the best ideas ever, and you can buy the t-shirt to go with it (with slogans like "Great Minds Taste Alike").

A must stop for anyone on a Midwestern tour.

Zombies are hot in the last few years (Walking Dead, Zombieland, World War Z, Shaun of the Dead) and Des Moines has made itself Zombie Capital.

All this I am ok with, spending most of my life hanging out with George Romero fans, though I am afraid things are going to be overdone.

I am still likely to love the slow-moving guys after they jump the shark, but fun stories like the Missouri Department of Conservation's Zombie Warning don't amuse me like they used to.

Still, Des Moines has got a lot of mileage out of Zombies - Home of the unique Zombie-themed restaurant Zombie Burger and the charity fundraiser The Zombie Walk.

Last week, West Des Moines hosted the Zombie Prom.

The Zombie Prom featured Tyler Mane (who played Michael Myers in Rob Zombie's Halloween), local rock bands (Brains Brains Brains), a walk through the local historic section of town, and a Zombie Prom King and Queen contest.

The same night, a play called Viral Marketing: A Zombie Circus also ran (the plot being something about middle management turning into zombies combined with Cirque de Soleil gymnastics).

Okay, i guess it's time I go out and add a zombie tag.
