Tim Pawlenty - Tim is in the news quite often defending Mitt Romney. Like Bachmann, he has been playing pretty coy about being Romney's possible running mate, which means he says he's not going to be the pick, although he certainly would be the best choice. One suspects if 2012 didn't do Pawlenty in, then he will likely run in 2016. Pawlenty is still fighting the argument that he is dull, although you don't want to tell that to him in person. Otherwise, he will show you his 'tats'.
Fred Karger- Remember Fred Karger, the gay Republican (I could probably stop there) who was running for President (I actually know a gay Republican. I grew up with him and lost track of him over the years. He works for a well-known company in a very lucrative field. He is openly homosexual, and his facebook profile is him with what appears to be a joint. He must really, really make a lot of money).
Karger was still running long after Gingrich and Santorum gave up. I have no idea why. Karger spent a lot of time in Iowa and only got 10 votes. I likely could have done as well or better. Still to his credit (or stubbornness or stupidity), Karger didn't give up. Even long after Newt finally gave up, Karger was still out there - which means he campaigned in Southern Utah.
Utah had the nation's last primary (June 26) and besides being Romney country, is the last place where a gay Republican would want to go.
Why would he continue his run for President?
Probably for all the gay sex.
At least that's what the wife of the Washington County GOP Chairman says. After Karger met with Willie Billings, who Karger found "welcoming" and Karger gave him campaign t-shirts and frisbees, Mrs. Billings threw them away.
She then wrote this message to Karger's website:

"My feeling is the only reason he's running for president is to find more [sexual] partners," Nanette Billings told Yahoo News in a phone interview. "To get more people on his bandwagon."
To be fair, that's probably why John Edwards ran, too; and things do look bad when the combination of Donald Trump, Paul Ryan and Mike Huckabee (all non-candidates) got as many votes as you did. Still, Karger was positive about the whole thing and says he is out to change minds.
