Poor, poor Rick Santorum.

There's no questioning how Red State is, even to the point his main campaign plank is that college is for losers.

Still, Santorum, at his best looks uncomfortable at being a redneck.  Though, he has tried.

There was that hunting trip.

There were the cowboy boots he wore to the Iowa State fair.

Well, it was probably just a matter of time before Rick decided to sponsor his own NASCAR car.

Tony Raines, the driver was a long shot, but actually had a decent race, and finished 19th.

It also should be noted that (as the casual-est of casual NASCAR fans, this year's Daytona 500 was a riveting event).

Mitt Romney didn't want to be left out, so he made the trip to Daytona 500 as well.

It was a good chance for Willard to meet with the plebians, who he likes to remind everyone that he is just like.  He buys American, too.  Why, all four of his cars are American models.

Making Santorum look like Larry the Cable Guy, Romney says he likes the stock car racing.

"Many of my friends own NASCAR teams", Willard says.

Speaking of all things gas-driven, it's all but over for Newt Gingrich.  Despite being the best debater by miles and arguably owning the best resume, Newt has made the desperate step of becoming the Cheap Gas candidate.

A vote for Newt is a vote for $2.50/gallon gas according to Gingirch.
