We are in full-on election mode. There are political ads in every commerical break.

Willard Mitt after months of waiting is finally running his first Iowa ads.

Rick Perry is bombarding the Hawkeye State trying to plead his case that he's a tough Texan, but he's not afraid to pander to the Religious right:

Ron Paul has unleashed the coolest ad of the campaign thus far. It is part Franz Ferdinand video and part Dodge Truck ad.

However, nothing is as surprising as turning on the tv, watching Monday Night Football, and seeing a Herman Cain ad.

LOL WAIT WUT?!?!?

Now, I always figure that suspending your campaign was a smart thing to do on the off-chance Romney is in a plane crash or the masses decide to overwhelmingly rise up and support you despite all obstacles.  You could conceivably win, I suppose.

Instead, "suspending" just means you can just keep cashing checks.  A suspended campaign can still take donations, and although Cain can't really do what he pleases with that money, he can essentially turn what was his campaign into a PAC.

Anyway, the ad caught me completely by surprise.  I have no idea at what point it was filmed, released, and the airtime bought.  Apparently, someone thought it was money well spent.  Still, the Cain train, it is fairly safe to say is stopped.
