Memes these days are over before they start, but there you go.

The Harlem shake crept up on me, and to be honest, if I hadn't seen adam_0oo's post, I would even have been further behind.

There's all you really need to know, from Firefighters to the Norwegian Army to Matt&Kim to the Dallas Mavericks , from Feb 6-13, the internets went from the Harlem Shake being a non-thing to having over 4000 Harlem Shake videos.

I like the meme. I know how popular how Gangnam Style is, having attended a few sporting events at various age levels. The Harlem Shake adds total pandemonium into the mix, adding some of the elemebnts of flash mobs that everyone likes.

The local sportscaster is also enthralled by it.

Anyway, get it now.

First, a shout out to Adam_0oo for putting this together- an epic addition to the canon. He's iron Man in a hoodie.

Me? I might vote for the Dryer.

As I said yesterday, the WWE's racist character Zeb Colter is hot.

The WWE launches dozens of characters in a year, and most won't take.  I am not sure that Zeb would have (although it did have the talent of Dutch Mantell behind it).

It would never have reached the big names, but the WWE just needed one person to take the bait, and Alex Jones of Infowars stepped up.

Knowing that Vince McMahon is the man who turned Sgt Slaughter into an Iraqi sympathizer and tag team partners Billy &Chuck into a gay couple, maybe you shouldn't encourage him.

Yesterday, Zeb's notoriety was enough to get him on Keith Olbermann's radar.

Yesterday Fox blamed liberals for wrestling character called "Tea Party." WWE is family property of failed CT Senate candidate Linda McMahon

Keith's tweet is slightly wrong.  Vince is a bit more subtle than calling the character "Tea party".

It was a good day for wrestler Jack Swagger.  Swagger is a talented amateur wrestler who has an unfortunate lisp.  Teaming him with Zeb/Dutch was brilliant.  He had started his wrestling career as a can't-miss pick to be a main eventer, but instead in recent months, relegated to losing matches against the WWE's resident leprechaun

Swagger had the best Tuesday one could have.

And the worst.

At the high point of his career thus far, Swagger was arrested on a DUI and possession of marijuana.

So what's next?

One assumes Zeb will end up ditching Swagger for someone else, who will then take the momentum and push that goes with it.

Still, if you know the WWE, their Wellness Policy goes relatively easy on pot; with a real stress and emphasis against painkillers.  A suspension might not be the obvious answer.

In fact, with this such a hot angle, things may work out to Swagger's favor.

Pro Wrestling's most well-known insider Dave Meltzer suggests that the plan is to work this into the storyline with Swagger's on-screen story that it was the WWE shareholders that are framing him to shut him up.

BRILLIANT!

I was talking to someone the other day (was it here?) and they said "Johnny Depp really thinks he is a pirate doesn't he?"

Son of Rogue's Gallery won't help.

It's a collection of 'pirate songs, sea songs, and chanteys', and it's put together by Depp and Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinski

Many of my favorite artists- Shane MacGowan, Tom Waits, Marc Almond, Richard Thompson, to name a few- have worked pirate songs into the ouevre. No surprise, they all appear here.

This is actually a sequel to 2006's Rogue's Gallery put together by Depp & Verbinski which featured Bono, Nick Cave, Sting, Bryan Ferry, Lou Reed and John C. Reilly.

Still, it seems the sequel is getting more attention. It features duets and team-ups like MacGowan & Depp, Courtney Love & Michael Stipe, and (although it's not the first they have worked together) Tom Waits and Keith Richards.

Again, a star studded affair. Beth Orton, Iggy Pop, Angelica Huston, Sean Lennon, Macy Gray, Todd Rundgren, and Tim Robbins all contribute.

I am goinjg to throw my two cents in- that from previous experience, I know I don't listen to albums like this. It's got a lot of talent, it's a completist's dream, and it's reasonably priced. Still, even though i appreciate this when the Pogues, Marc Almond, or Richard Thompson work this into a set list, I just can't say I would listen to it.

Still, others need to know about it, so here it is.
