We are of course, near the end (or the beginning, I suppose) of the primary season.
It is hard to predict what will happen, but you can look at all the signs.
For example, if you look at Bluewater's comic book sales (remember that? The biographic comic printed issues of all the major candidates), Rick Perry is most popular. Sure (as someone lse pointed out) Perry is Yosemite Sam come to life, though I am not sure what to make that his issue outsold Romney, Paul and Bachmann. (Notably, Gingrich did not get an issue).
For those who like to make money off of, well, anything, there's the University of Iowa Electronic Market, which let's you bet like you would on Vegas or on Wall Street. According to the "free market", there's money to be made on Ron Paul finishing #1 or #2. You can buy into Paulmania at 82.4 cents a share.
Until recently, Romney was the smart money, but his shares have plummeted from 87 cents to 30. Perry and Bachmann are in penny stock territory- less than 10 cents a share. Gingrich is a "Hold" at 72.3 cents, just slightly lower than his 80 cent higher.
We are also in the time of year when the candidates do random things like appear on Letterman, which is what Willard did last night.
It's funny, but I am not sure if it pulls in voters.
Elsewhere, Newt Gingrich tries to maintain his spot near the top which includes gaining support from AshleyMadison.com (the pre-eminent website dedicated to adultery)...

while losing the support of political kingmaker Gary Busey.
Maybe he can reach out to Charlie Sheen to get those batshiat crazy votes.
