Caucus Update: "All kinds of numbers" edition

A NBC poll came out with the same ol' candidates in a different formation for Iowa and New Hampshire.

Since we're talking Iowa, here's the numbers:

Romney   23%
Cain 16%
Paul 12%
Bachmann 10%
Perry 10%
Gingrich 4%
Santorum 2%
Huntsman 1%
Johnson 1%

When it comes to the "I'm definitely caucusin' crowd", it's Romney and Cain (23%-20%) with Paul third.

The whole time we knew it would be Romney vs "The Tea party favorite", it's just that the Tea partiers have changed their minds a few times.

Also of note, in this purple state- Obama barely leads a neck-to-neck race over Romney (and way more popular than Perry).  Also, interesting, the most popular response to what GOP voters are looking for is someone who shares their values (which beats electability, experience, and campaign platform).

Don't like that poll?

There are others.

For example, if you're one of those bleeding heart libs, perhaps you are voting on Democracy for America's It Could Be Worse poll.  This poll asks Dems to vote for their most hated GOP candidate and the DfA gang will go after them.

It doesn't seem like it follows the right kind of logic (even if it is kinda fun).  I would probably fear a Bachmann or Santorum administration, but if you're buying anti-Chely or anti-Santorum ads, it seems like you're just throwing your money away.

For nonpartisan fun, Boom Studios offers its Decision 2012 series.

In this strike for brilliant marketing, Boom asks that you support your favorite candidate, by buying the corresponding issue.

They made the cautious move of including Palin, but not the foresight to appease the legion of Gary Johnson fans.

Hey, who are the writer/artist teams?  That's what I want to know.  I can't say that I wouldn't pick up a Newt Gingrich if Phil Hester was on it.

I know a few comic book fans, and I have a pretty good feeling where this ends up, and let's say that I am not surprised.

I am sure that some collectors will be aiming for Obama and Palin, so they can turn around and try to make a buck on eBay, but let's face it, the only one issue whose pre-order is sold out is Ron Paul.
